Janice Fries's Story
Planned to be a nurse, but got married instead. Married 1962 Delsea graduate, Gene Simkins in 1965. We celebrated our 50th anniversary in 2015. Mostly full-time wife, mom and homemaker, except for some secretarial work, a Color/Image business for 10 yrs., and home party businesses. I'm thankful to have had two children (my son died at age 20 from skin cancer). In addition to my daughter, I have five amazing grandchildren, and two wonderful great-grandchildren. ully, no matter the circumstances, through my relationship with Jesus Christ, and applying Biblical principles to everyday life. Have been involved with leading many women's groups, counseling and encouraging other gals, sometimes speaking at women's events, and desiring to make a difference in others' lives. I enjoy spending time with my grandkids and passing on to them what I've learned in my lifetime. I love people and love getting to know them and hearing their stories. I enjoyed the Class of 1964's 50th Reunion last year. Life is challenging, exciting, rewarding and busy. Thankful this life isn't all there is, though.
